This is a piece I wrote overnight to commemorate Tulsa's partial eclipse, which peaks today at 1:08 PM.

Today is the Solar Eclipse in North America. I'm staying in Tulsa and watching from home, which means I won't get the whole experience. I would have loved to travel to the path of totality, but life didn't allow for it. So instead, I'm celebrating here at home, where we will see 89% of the sun covered.

Tulsa has a full eclipse on the way in 2045. A lot will be different then, so in a way this piece is also about our future, and what we hope to accomplish by then. Today is only a glimpse of what's to come.

Happy Eclipse Day, Tulsa.
